For our October Meetup, we’re delighted to be joined by Nynke de Jong from the Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Life Sciences at Maastricht University to dive into her team’s extensive work when it comes to practically implementing 360 videos within medical education. As Nynke explains:
“This presentation explores practical examples of the use of 360° videos in healthcare education. Whereas the video “Technology in Healthcare” is used across various programs within the Bachelor of Health Sciences, “Dimo in Class” is employed in the pre-departure training for all health-related bachelor’s programs as preparation for the minor abroad.
Using these two videos as case studies, we’ll be exploring questions including how such videos can be both developed and successfully implemented as a fixed component within a module. Moreover, how can large groups of students be managed and how can the organisation surrounding headsets be structured to ensure their successful deployment?”
To gain an insight into Nynke and her team’s work before the presentation, check out this example of one of their 360-degree videos already integrated within a module for medical students!
We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
